GDPR and Privacy Policy
UK-GDPR (UK-General Data Protection Regulations) became effective on January 1, 2021,
replacing the GDPR regulations which were introduced in Europe and Worldwide on 25th May 2018.
These are also supplemented by the Data Protection Act 2018, as amended.
We (ie The Chapel St Leonards Carnival Club) use your personal information as follows:-
Members
To process and manage our membership list.
We will use your email address to send you newsletters, minutes and agendas, and keep to you up-to-date with plans for our forthcoming events.
We undertake to keep the data secure, and relevant for purpose. We will keep the data only for as long as you are a member.
For the record, membership data held by us will be as follows:
Name and e-mail address, also postal address and telephone number, if supplied.
Mailing Lists
We will send occasional e-mails to individuals and companies who have supported us in the past, eg as stall holders,
to inform them of our next event, and inviting them to participate again.
To add or remove yourself from our supporters mailing list,
please use the contact us page with your email address,
asking us to either add or remove it. Thank you.
General
We will not provide any data to any other body other than those legally entitled under due process of law and as authorised by the courts.
You have the right to request any data held on you at any time.
We undertake to amend the data held if requested by you.
In the event of concerns we request that you first contact us
so that we may resolve any perceived issues to your satisfaction.
In the event of dispute you have the right to contact the Information Commissioners Office.
