Chapel St Leonards Carnival 2025

About us

Chapel St Leonards Carnival happens every year at the start of August.

Most events are concentrated on the Village Green, where there is a covered stage to host music and other events, while the Green area itself also has other events together with stalls over the two days.

Also on the Sunday, there is usually a Dog Show at the Phoenix Care Centre, Ancaster Avenue.

The Carnival is run by a small group of volunteers, collectively known as the Chapel St Leonards Carnival Club. The Club is steered by a Committee - The Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Publicity Officer; and assisted by fund raisers and others.

Sub-groups organise the Dog Show and fundraising throughout the year.

Membership of the Club is free, and can be gained by contacting the Club via the Contact page, or by just turning up at one of our monthly meetings, which are advertised on this site's News page, and speaking to a Committee member.

The Carnival receives no external funding whatsoever, and is therefore dependent on the events organised by the fundraising group, plus the generosity of our sponsors, and from collection boxes placed around village businesses, and fees taken for stall rental over the weekend. All the funds that we raise are used to provide your entertainment during the weekend.

If you see a collection box, please consider putting a few coins in to help ensure that the Carnival goes on.
